MERRY CHRISTMAS!
It's Christmas morning in Anaheim, California at the La Quinta hotel! Santa still found us and filled our stockings!
Curtis did a great job of picking out this cute Christmas tree! It wouldn't be Christmas without a tree right?!
The children were hard to wake. Especially Carter! They just played too hard the day before. We did wake them up at the crack of dawn but who doesn't get up early on Christmas morning! Come on!
It's off to Disneyland we go! What a great Christmas present, to be in such a magical land!
Walking in those gates, hearing the Disney music, walking up Mainstreet and then heading towards the castle sure does get us all hyped and excited! We made our way to Peter Pan's Flight and then over to the Matterhorn. It was so great to be able to go on most rides as a family! Evey was tall enough! It was awesome to be able to park the stroller and leave it empty, free of children, so we could all be together. This was one of my favorite parts about being there!
The Matterhorn is a pretty bumpy ride and makes you feel like you are getting whiplash in all directions. Ha! Even though we know this, it is still fun to ride. I can't believe this allows smaller children on it. The height requirement is pretty lax compared to other
rides. Does anyone else think this is weird?? No. Evey did not fall out. I almost did. Just kidding. We had a blast!

We really enjoyed looking at the decorations of the Haunted Mansion all decked out in the theme, "The Nightmare Before Christmas"!
Splash Mountain was the one ride with virtually no wait. A wet ride in the cold is not a tourist attraction. We came prepared with coats and ponchos! So much fun!
Lunch time with these smoked turkey legs that we always wanted to try. Just so ya know, it tasted like ham. They were alright. Just a few bites was sufficient for each one of us!
Thunder Mountain is for sure another family favorite. Wouldn't it be the best to be able to repeat this ride consecutively over and over!
The Christmas Parade was an afternoon highlight! We loved it. The girls and I thoroughly enjoy watching the princesses!
Merida was stationed by "It's a Small World". She even had the accent going on!
The Hancocks vote that all the rollercoasters in Disneyland are the best rides!
Star Tours is a much improved experience. We were impressed what they have done with it!
We had Christmas dinner at a restaurant on Main Street. My plan was to go to the Blue Bayou but they were booked solid. We were pretty impressed though. Not your typical Christmas dinner but still good enough. The kids stepped out a few times during dinner to see it "snowing". What a nice touch for Christmas! Hamburgers was the popular choice of the night!
Em and I returned back to the park while the others checked out for the night! I am so glad I got to spend this time with her! She is a gem! We were lucky to use up some fast passes on Space Mountain that hadn't been used. We had 7 passes so we went like 3 times in a row! Ha ha! Splash mountain was a non wait so we rode it several times. We had a blast trying to pose for the ride cameras! I sure love this girl!
