We love June! School is out and we are ready to have some fun!
We started the month out by celebrating Lyndsi's birthday. We had her and the kids over for a brunch. Lyndsi is so incredibly special to us and we love to celebrate her! Lily was so interested in the matches this time. I just love watching her every move. She is the sweetest little girl because she takes after her mother!

I was so lucky to join Lyndsi for an outside musical event. I got to play on the keyboard while she sang her most beautiful songs to a group of Relief Society sisters. It is so uplifting to be with her!
On a very scorching hot 100 degree afternoon, Caden had fun with his friends Trent, and Tannen, in finding a lizard whom they claimed as their pet!
It got away quite a few times. I'll be surprised if it lived.
"No, don't hold him by the tail", we all shouted! Caden got bit by this little creature but he still wanted to be his friend!
YES! Caden finally earned his $300 that he owed to his mom and dad. Way back in February Caden was in the basement with 2 of his friends when he wasn't supposed to be. They all decided to throw plastic discs from a "twister" game and his friend threw one directly at our flat screen tv. It completely ruined the screen and made it worthless to fix. Wow, that was hard for his parents to swallow! Even though we were really upset at him for disobeying, he was quite mature in acknowleding his part in the situation and seeing what he had done wrong. I chose not to contact the other parents because it was Caden who brought them into the house and it was Caden who got the game out to throw. To make it up to us, he had to pay for a temporary $300 tv that we purchased until we were able to replace the larger one. It definitely was a learning lesson for all of us! I was proud of Caden for sticking it through and earning every single dollar with a willing and happy attitude! He was so good about each job and didn't complain once! It took 4 months of pet sitting, mowing lawns, pulling weeds, and a few other little jobs. Great work Caden boy!
Father's Day is always fun. The kids are so cute in making their own cards for their dad! They sure love him and had a great time celebrating him. Hugs and kisses go out to all the other great dad's in our lives!
Now it's off to Canada we go...

Mel! It is so good to see your wonderful blog posts again! I can't thank you enough for the special birthday celebration...we love spending time with you all! And way to go Caden in earning that money! He is a great young man, with such wonderful parents leading the way. I love the picture of the kids with Curt - so glad he had a Happy Father's Day! Looking forward to seeing posts about Canada - we missed you lots and are SO happy to have you home. Sure love you Hancocks!

That's impressive that Caden was mature about his part in the accident, and helped to fix it by working so hard! He sure took great care of Cooper, he had the time of his life! Father's day is fun, a good time to reflect on our children's hard work Dads! You sure make birthdays special, Mel! That is cool that you got to play at a concert with Lyndsi that day, you are such great friends for one another!
