Other winter events 2013

Ella got her ears pierced when she was 2 because her big sister Emery did at the time.  The little pink studs were so adorable on her but her ears ended up becoming infected and were pierced crooked.  We let them grow over for a few years and tried again just before her baptism.  This time around is much better!  Ella is very responsible in taking good care of her sensitive ears and cleaning them well.  What a good girl.  It's been all worth it for this girly girl.  She likes her accessories!

She was so brave!
Voila!  Beautiful ears!

More awards for these cute Horizon girls.  Ella received a Super Star award for being kind to others and Emery received Student of the Month in math.  She doesn't get her math smarts from her mom and dad!  Ha ha!  It's so special to see your children beam from ear to ear!  I sure love these talented girls!

And I sure love these talented boys!  Even though they did not look forward to playing their SUPAF piano solos, they rocked them, thanks to their great teacher Katie!  Carter played Invention No.8, by Bach and Caden played Solfeggieto, also by Bach.  Evey and I were eager audience members.  Good job Carter and Caden.  All your hard practicing and memorization payed off!  Emery and Ella also performed but sadly I didn't take their picture.  Emery played Minuet in G by Bach and Ella played Country Gardens.  We were a Bach family this year.

May we please just say how much we love the Melo family!  It's been such a privilege to have my good friend Katie and I trading in teaching our children piano lessons for the last few years!  To celebrate everyone's hard work in preparing for the festival, Katie was sweet to invite us over to her home for a mini recital and for some music games and yummy treats.  What a wonderful and memorable evening!  Thank you Melos!
