Our beautiful Ella Shae had her 8th birthday on February 1, 2013 and got baptized with her cousin Claire the next day, February 2! She even got to celebrate her birthday day in Kaysville and get baptized in Claire's ward. This helped out Grandma and Grandpa C, as they came down from Calgary.
What a special time in Ella's life. Now, a year later as I am recording this, she smiles and laughs and has such happy memories as she looks back at these pictures. What a treasure to have.
Ella is sure a treasure to us. She is so beautiful inside and out. I love that she is such a girly girl and likes to be fancy. She is organized, and really good at cleaning (when she wants to). She is a wonderful reader and writer and enjoys playing school and librarian. She loves to give hugs and kisses. Moms sure need that! Thanks for your beautiful spirit and example Ella. It was so wonderful to be a part of your baptism and to witness how pure and good you are. Happy Birthday!
I had fun taking these photos before the big day and I had fun accessorizing this little girl, adding touches of pink, which she LOVED!
We had a combined celebration of Emery and Ella's birthdays with Curtis' family before we headed up north. This yummy dessert was butterscotch brownies, a Hancock kid favorite! It's so nice for these sweet sisters to have close birthdays a month apart.
Friday was her birthday morning and she got to open up her tinfoil gifts at the Hassler's breakfast table with her cousins watching! How cool is that!
Delicious berries and cereal for breakfast and some pretty baptism jewelry that Claire and Ella received.
We sure enjoyed spending time with cousins and Grandma and Grandpa! We headed to the City Creek Mall and to Temple Square. Look at Aunt Cynthia's pantry!(below) She has a reputation for keeping it stocked! All kinds of snacks, cereal, and canned goods. It's so exciting for us to see it each time. Deliciousness! Thanks for keeping us well fed Auntie Cynthia and Uncle Mike!
And the children's museum at the church buildings. There was a lot of Mexican dancing going on. It was especially funny to watch Carter get into it! It's tradition to buy beanie boos. These little girls are into collecting them!
Ella chose to have pizza for dinner and have her Carter cousins come over too! So fun for them all!
Cake time for this girly girl!
"Happy Birthday to you"!
Ella was a lucky girl and got an ipod touch!
It was such a treat to watch these three boys play a hockey game together! Good job Alex, Zach, and Ethan!
So happy that it's time for the big day. These beautiful girls looked so pretty in their white, walking near the snow.
I had fun doing their hair. I was happy it stayed in just fine!
I really liked having the baptisms held in the Hasslers ward. Ella and Claire were the only ones to be baptized, so it felt very personal. This is definitely my preference! Cynthia and Jenna made the program. It was so well done! Ella sure adores her sweet cousin Claire. She loves to spend time with her and talks about her often. We are so glad these two young ladies were able to share their special day, just as they did their baby blessing day! I wonder if they will have a double wedding!
These little baptism gowns are so adorable! I was very happy Cynthia's stake had them available. So perfect for our girls! I am so grateful for their dad's who have the priesthood and were able to baptize them. What a special gift.
Ella's confirmation of the Gift of the Holy Ghost, given by her dad, Curtis:
*Your Heavenly Father is proud of your decision.
*You are given the gift of the Holy Ghost to be there in times of sorrow and happiness
*The Holy Ghost is a most precious gift. Through it you will gain a testimony.
*You will show compassion to others and reach out to them.
*You have a wonderful family. They will be there for you.
*The Savior will always be there for you.
The newest members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are celebrating, having treats and hugs with family and friends!

Lindsey totally made these custom frames with names and dates for Claire and Ella! What a thoughtful gift!
I sure love my sweet girl! What a precious gift from heaven she is!
This is on Sunday getting to sit up on the stand for all to see. Cuties!
We are so proud of the young lady you are growing up to be Ella!
