HAPPY CANADA DAY! July 1st is a great day! We were excited to celebrate the wonderful country of Canada with our awesome family. Even though the weather was quite chilly, we had fun. It was in the 50's. Brrrr! We started the morning with a pancake breakfast. We followed Grandma and Grandpa to a ward in the stake. We are lucky to benefit from Grandpa's calling. Eating pancakes outside is always delicious! Why do they always taste so much better outdoors than indoors?!
Emery looks a little unsure of marching in this parade. She is just a little cccold!
We then followed our other family members to an entirely different ward in a different stake. They always put on a great time in their church parking lot! Evey delighted in the cotton candy the most! A blue mouth is such a festive look!
Here are the cute Carter cousins! We love you guys! Dani and Sophie were so helpful with the little girls. They waited in the long cotton candy line so Evey and Ella could get some.
I always enjoy the Sheer family Canadian attire. Love Berkley's hair. Ha, it was a challenge to get these little ones to look!
Later on we went to Spruce Meadows, a horse jumping park. It is beautiful there. I love this picture of Grandma with her grandkids.
While we were there, Grandpa discovered this little grove of trees that offered horse rides for free. Evey was in heaven. Her little horsie's name was "Brittle". She just loved him and kept talking about him. I only remember the name because Evey did. Since there were no other children in line, my kids got to ride numerous times. It was the best!
Then for dinner we were invited over to the Carter home for some birthday fun. Since we don't have a chance to celebrate our birthdays during the year with them, Auntie Martha made a delicious birthday dinner of fettucine alfredo and yummy icecream sundaes that we put candles in. She had her children say something nice about each one of us. We also had presents given to us all and then had birthday balloons that we made a wish on and let go in the sky. What an honor this was and how thoughtful of the Carter family. They are so loving and generous. Thanks for the amazing good time!
Emery is always the one greatly anticipating those birthday gifts!
Do you think we could have fit anything else in for the day! Wow! We are lucky!

How fun! I agree with Evey, cotton candy is the best! I love the horse riding pics, what a great find and so fun for the kids! Glad it was a great day for you all. We love our Canadian neighbors! :)
Awesome birthday celebrations must run in the family! Looks like you had a blast! Makes me want to visit Canada someday! It looks beautiful (even if it is a bit too cold for my St. George blood!) Love ya! Keep the posts coming!
What a day of celebration!! It really looks like such fun for everyone. My favorite picture is Evey on the horse with Grandma Carter. You can tell your parents just cherish these great moments with their grandkids. We really can't wait to visit there with you. We love Canada too, because it is home to you!
