June fun!

We had a fun filled June.  School was out so we parTAYed! 

Emery and Ella were excited to go camping with their dad up in Pinevalley.  He had promised to take them on a weekend since he had taken the boys camping for Fathers and Sons.  They acutally tried going to a few camping sights the weekend before but the weather wasn't cooperating with it's fierce wind...so this was a highly anticipated trip!

Good morning!  Woa, that's a pink tent!  Thanks Auntie Shellie for providing it.  It's a good thing we have Curtis' sister to help us with being prepared for camping.  She and Allen were there as well in their trailer.

We could never let our best friend's birthday go by unnoticed!  Happy birthday Lyndsi!  We love you and loved having you and your family over for lunch!

I had fun going out with Laura for dinner.  She has a July birthday so we celebrated early since we are never together on her great day.  We just need to coordinate that one year in Canada, Laura!  We love you too and are so glad that you live near us.

I put 4 kids into swimming lessons for 2 weeks.  Ella came a long way in her level 2 class.  She used to be so afraid of the deep water but will now go in with a life jacket.  It's a huge accomplishment for her!  She needs to do the level again but I am happy about her progress.

Here's cute Em's learning to dive.  She did well in level 3 passing all her requirements yet was told to repeat it since she is small.  We're good with that. 

She was always obsessed with beating her classmates and usually pulled it off!

The boys were both in level 5 together since there was no level 4 offered at the time for Caden.  This is their instructor Austin.  Emery had the same teacher.  They both passed off all of the requirements.  Yay, no more swimming lessons for them, unless they want to take their lifeguarding.  That might be a good job for them in the summers!

These brothers were a little competitive with each other, but not bad.  Poor little Evey wanted to get in the water so bad.  It was so hard for her to understand why she couldn't be there with her siblings.  Poor girl! :(

And then....we learned how to open a coconut.  We received like 3 coconuts in our weekly bountiful basket.  Um..ya..totally not worth it!  I say just buy the bagged stuff.  By the time you do all this, you're left with a mess, tasteless coconut juice, and coconut!  But at least we can say that we've experienced it!

Carter, Tait, and Kristian took a summer strings class at Dixie Middle school.  Carter wants to try out the cello in 6th grade so he got a bit of a head start.  It was fun to see him play.  He learned twinkle twinkle little star, hot cross buns, and a few others.  It sure was a packed house for his performance with cookies and more cookies to share afterwards.

Awesome cousin Lindsey took Emery and Ella to her apartment for a sleepover.  They had a great time doing nails, and watching movies.  Thanks Lindsey.  You have such a talent with children and my children are so lucky to have you!

Yay!  Carter received his Arrow of Light award at pack meeting.  We are so happy for you Carter.  Way to be dedicated!

As always there were pictures that I forgot to take, like days at the water parks and days playing with friends.  Ofcourse we had to have fun there.  Summer started with some fabulous memories!
