It seems we have been eating a lot more asparagus these days. We get it from our bountiful basket that we occasionally pick up on a Saturday! Our children are now educated on the vegetable and actually eat it very well!
One day, Evey was looking out her bedroom window and just started squeeling and yelling, "hey guys, we have asparagus out my window! Come see, come see"! She was so thrilled to see this plant growing and was excited to share this knowledge with her family! It was the cutest thing!
I explained to her that is was a yucka plant and that it would bloom into flowers. However, the asparagus name stuck. Everyday we looked at it, we would say, "hey, Evey, look at how the asparagus is growing!"
It took a few more weeks to bloom, but she loved this too! Don't ya love the outfit!
What an observant little girl we have! Maybe she will grow up to have a green thumb!
