FHE....carving pumpkins

So I know I'm way behind on my posts...sorry we're still stuck in Halloween. On Monday night, the week of Halloween, we met the Meyer's and Grandma and Grandpa at Pineview Park for a picnic dinner and pumpkin carving. I was excited to keep the mess outside. Ofcourse the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thanks Gram and gramp for providing the pumpkins. What would we do without you guys???

Jace, Emmy and Caden in awe of Curtis, the pumpkin designer!

Can you tell this was posed?! Carter really got into the pumpkin carving this year using the sharpie and knife. He was trying to claim the pumpkin as his own. We only ended up carving the one which ended being cocroach infested and "old man" looking by the time Halloween came along. It just got dark so fast that we only had time for the one. Where were the flashlights when we needed them?!
Evey helping out grandma and grandpa H. Emery wanted to be the jack-o-lantern I guess!

What fun Halloween festivities! You guys look awesome, such wonderful costumes! I'm sure you miss the Hancocks - it always stinks to say good-bye! I'm glad you got a good visit in with them, though!
