Bye-bye braces!

It's true! Carter has gone through the process of straigtening teeth at the ripe old age of 8-9. Didn't most of us experience this as teenagers. What a great plan to get it overwith. In November 2007 was when it all began. It was reminiscent of my days. He started out with a spacer which just about scared him off. After 2 days though he was a pro. Then he got brackets..didn't hurt but they wouldn't stick. We had to go back twice to replace the same one. Dr. Simister says the type of enamel on his teeth caused this. Other than that it was smooth sailing. Carter was such a trooper and rarely complained! Who wouldn't want brace bucks, any color elastics, glow-in-the dark retainers, and candy bars? What a fun way to get to a beautiful smile!

Carter, you sure are growing up! What a handsome guy! We love you!
