Carter is in the Horizon choir this year. I was the accompianist for the first half of the year. After Christmas, the kids started learning songs for this big combined event at the outdoor Tuachan theatre. The songs had recorded accompianment so I was off the hook. The theme of the performance was the 60's. Each school had to learn the same handful of songs along with choreography. Then they combined about 9 school choirs to perform them. It was really fun to see all those students up there on stage. Our Horizon choir was in the back right corner.
On the song, Johnny be Good, the kids had to hold up their guitars. This is the one Curtis made for him. Our camera did a good job of zooming in from where we were!
Also, each school performed individually. Their song was Twist Again. Annette did a great job of teaching them so sweet moves! Carter is twisting here!
It was a perfect entertaining evening. The rain started coming at the first of the show for about 5 minutes but that didn't stop the entusiastic performers! Evey was a great audience member.. she loved every minute of it. She would dance when she heard the music and then clap and shout happy sounds along with the crowd when a performance was over. So fun! Good job Carter!

That guitar is awesome. I love that Carter is groovin' out. Woo hoo! That was a pretty good zoom considering they were in the back right corner. A LOT of kids. Must have been a lot of fun to watch.
Wow so cool that they had all those choirs sing together. That would have been so neat to see.
That is such a neat opportunity for Carter - wish I could have been there to watch! Good for him for being such a willing participant - looks like such a fun preformance. Good job on the guitar, Curt! Maybe Carter could sing us some of the songs when we come....
