Poor little girl! This week's family home evening was not quite as successful as last week's! We met Curtis at the rec center for a swim and picnic dinner. Five minutes into having fun Ella slipped on the stairs up to the coyote slide thus falling and spliting open her chin. She also bruised the front of her legs. She was just dripping in blood so we went to see the life guard at the first aid station who advised us to get stitches. So off to instacare we went! Curtis was great to stay behind with the other 4. It actually was quite nice to just spend time with my sweet Ella. We played Pet Shops and read books while waiting to see the doctor. The only time she cried during the whole ordeal was when she got hurt. What a trooper. It makes me think that perhaps she'll be quite brave when going through labor. She was an absolute angel. Way to be courageous Ella. We all just love you!
She has 4 stitches and has been very proud to show them off!

The down side to it all was that she had just started swimming lessons that day..bummer! No swimming from the orders of the doctor. :( However, this never got her down..what a good attitude.

So sorry, sweet Ella! What a brave little girl you are! That stinks to get hurt and have swimming cut short... but we shall do alot of that at Sundance lake - we can't wait to see you!
Poor Ella! Tell her I slipped going up the stairs when I was a little girl and have a scar right where hers is.
Ella - what a trooper you are! So brave at the doctor, and so sweet always! We're so glad your cut is healing quickly.
So sad. That reminds me of Elle last year when she got hurt 2 days into swimming lesson.s Poor little Ella. It is quite the convenient place for stitches, though. Her scar will be basically invisible. Give her a hug from us we hope she feels better soon.
Oh man! That's no fun. Bummer about swimming lessons. It sounds like she had a great attitude, what a sweetie.
So sorry Ella! I heard you are getting your stitches out today! Good luck!
Poor Ella. Sounds like she was very brave. She still looks so cute - even with those stitches!
Oh my gosh - poor girl! That sounds like it would have hurt - and she was so brave! That picture makes her eyelashes pop - they are so long. We love you Ells...and hope your stitches come out soon! You will have a matching scar with Uncle Andrew. ;)
